Forum Logo sale increase

After I asked a permission from Logoground, let me tell you how Logoground designers can increase logo sale.
Before I started to sale logos on Logoground, I already had a portfolio on Behance.
When I design a group of 10-12 new logos, I make a project on Behance named "Logos for sale". At my experience, people love to see that kind of projects and more "likes" you get, your project will be more visible to prospective clients.
In the begining, I didn't thought that on Behance will be so much prospective clients, but I was wrong - many people look this site.
When a client show interest for a pre-made logo, I send him a link
on Logoground with logo price.
About 20% - 30% of my logo sales are done in this way.
Dribbble is also good platform to show your logos, but in my experience much more clients are on Behance.
When I sell a logo, I mark it as "sold" on Behance also.

I don't claim that you will increase your logo sale tomorrow, but in a year or less...
If you are going to try this, please remember that those logos should be published first on Logoground and later on other platforms.

I unfortunately don't have much time for pre-made logos lately, but if this is your basic job, I think you should try to increase your logo sale in this way.

Very nice idea, but this site have a bad policy, you per-made logo just can show in this site, any admin can tell us about this way is right or wrong ?

Mack Studio if I understand your question correctly, yes you can only show logos on Behance, you can't offer them for sale there. You can however use that as a marketing tool to channel buyers to your logos on LogoGround.

From our side we have no problem with this strategy. As long as you upload to LogoGround first, then to portfolio sites like Behance. The reason is that we check for duplicates when we review logos and if we find the same logo on Behance (etc.) we can't always confirm that it is the same designer, so then we must assume it is copied and close your LogoGround account. Once it is approved on LogoGround it is safe to upload to other sites.

For designers who have large portfolios on sites like Behance, contact us. There is no need to delete all your logos from Behance, then upload to LogoGround, then re-upload to Behance. If we know what your Behance username is we can ignore duplicates that we find there, but please contact us first to let us know.

I'm not very familiar with Instagram, to be honest. My understanding is that you share images, but you can't actually sell them there. Once a logo is approved on LogoGround you may post it on social media sites like Instagram etc.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful tips. Yes it is absolutely true, I my self do the same thing and I've sold many logos using that exact technique. Like I do publicity using twitter, behance, pinterest, google+, facebook, and etc many other social networking platforms where people can see and share there interest.

Thank you so much @zveronika ! It's just what I was looking for. strategies to promote my logos properly. Some time ago I tried to upload logos to behance to promote them through links but, I think I did not know how to do it correctly.

I had already considered Instagram but I was not sure if it was efficient. I am evaluating the possibility of using dribbble but I have not registered yet on the site and I am not sure how it works.

Does anyone have experience with pinterest? I read that it could be used in the same way as behance to promote.

Is using Instagram also efficient in promoting our logo?

Remember every exposure is also a risk of having your design stolen or copied. As logo designers we dont really have legal funds to do much about such situation so if push comes to shove and reporting and DMCa wont work we cant do much or even if we do its a long legal battle for 300usd worth of merchandise.

Veronicas style is very unique and hard to copycat so she can feel safer showing her designs off. Too much exposure towards people not really interested in purchasing, just oogling may result in some day you finding out that theres a very close design to yours for half price where you can see it is of slightly worse quality but the clients may not have your expertise and knowledge to notice or care.

Also make sure to calculate if you want to post your designs without a watermark anywhere. On a logo contest site which shall remain nameless because thats not important to the story, i have submitted designs once for a perspective client. They have been rated the highest and marked to move to the final round. At that moment a thief has removed the background from my design and posted it as his, and when i claimed it was mine he shown the administration an upload date for it PRIOR to me creating it using a FALSE TIMESTAMP from some shady upload site. Only the fact that you could see badly erased background gradient still present on the stolen design has saved me. So watch out and make sure to protect your IP.

Thank you for your advice @Gregory M

I think from now, Ii will always use my watermark for my design.

I love this post, I have saved it there in favorites. :) I wanted to add something that occurred to me, maybe it sounds silly and obvious, but I had not thought of it before.

As everyone knows, logoground only allows uploading 1 version per logo. So I had days thinking about what to do with the alternative versions of our logos? I mean those beautiful color versions that made us doubt and that we wanted to post here on logoground as well. And suddenly I thought about uploading them in the other pages and social networks, indicating that they are alternative versions.

Why is this good?
This will increase our content in those pages, which translates into more likes, more views, more traffic and possibility of sales. For example, in dribbble, the most recent "shots" appear in a special section, which different people check different days. So uploading more designs means reaching more people, especially if you upload those designs at different times. In addition, in the description of these alternative versions we again make the invitation to the sales page in logoground. :)

@Zveronika, thanks a lot for sharing such a useful tip here with all of us.

Well guys before I came to LG, I've been using the same techniques not only on behance but on Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, Dribbble, Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook and some other social media platforms and believe me that this technique really works. I sold out many of my logos on other websites before LG. And now I'm hopping that this number of sale will increase in future. Try it because it definitely works.
